Anti-Asian hate crimes have surged alarmingly due to the xenophobic rhetoric surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. These violent assaults have occurred all over the country, as well as at home here in Seattle's Chinatown International District. Thousands of incidents have been reported. Many of these attacks have been against elderly people.
