CARE’s crisis response in Ukraine will reach 4 million with aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance — and prioritizing the needs of women and girls, families, and the elderly.
Their mission: CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. Their mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world. Drawing strength from our global diversity, resources and experience, they promote innovative solutions and are advocates for global responsibility. They facilitate lasting change by: strengthening capacity for self-help; providing economic opportunity; delivering relief in emergencies; influencing policy decisions at all levels; and addressing discrimination in all its forms.
Americares is delivering medicine, medical supplies and emergency funding to support families and people affected by the Ukraine crisis.
Americares has more than 40 years of experience responding to emergencies, including conflicts that lead to large-scale displacements. We respond to more than 30 natural disasters and humanitarian crises worldwide each year, establish long-term recovery projects and bring disaster-preparedness programs to communities vulnerable to disasters.
World Vision is on the ground in Eastern Europe preparing to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families who have been forcibly displaced due to the escalating crisis in Ukraine. Vulnerable women and children will bear the brunt of this crisis. They are working to help provide children and families searching for a safe haven with protection and psychosocial support.
